Guys,
Can we file I-485, after August 1 2007 and
before August 17 2007 (as I'm preparing my medicals). Is there a chance USCIS stop taking the application after July 31 2007 by giving some crap reason? Also I understand that filing fee is same for I-485 until August 17 2007.Is that true even for I-765 and I-131.Please clarify.

Hi -
I remember seeing a website, that displays all the labor certifications filed by an attorney for a company. Unfortunately, I lost the link to that website.
Can one of you post the link to this website, if you have it,,

I work for company A which sponsored my L1B (my current visa status). Also, few years back company B sponsored my H1B which for some reason I did not utilize (did not even get it stamped) and hence company B cancelled it. Now my questions are -
1. Can L1-B be transferred to H1-B without going through a new visa application?
2. Can the cancelled H1-B be re-instated and utilized?
3. If another company C applies for my H1-B what are the chances of getting it looking at the current work visa regulations and prospective changes? Will my past petition of H1-B cause some issues with consulate?
4. My wife is on L2 and as EAD. Once I file for change of status will the EAD still be valid or it will automatically be void?
Please Help...

hello,
Unfortunately a person with a pending form I-130 is not eligible to receive a work authorization. I-130 itself does not give you the legal authority to USCIS to issue a work permit. It is possible to get a work authorization if such a person has a pending I-485 (Adjustment of status) or is in other valid immigration status that would allow him / her to get work authorization.
Hope this helps?

As reported in the Wall Street Journal, a surge in corporate profits is translating into increased hiring for the high tech industry and economic recovery could come faster than anticipated. Notwithstanding the job market showing some signs of life, U.S. unemployment remains at just under 10% and will likely remain high for some years to come. While employers added more than 160,000 jobs in March, the biggest monthly gain in three years, roughly one-third of the growth came from the government's hiring of 48,000 temporary workers for the 2010 Census. So what does this all mean for U.S. employers vis-a-vis...

2010 census data is gradually being released and it should worry anti-immigrants, particularly the Republican Party which has tried to appease the Tea Party gods by embracing a xenophobic agenda. Here's the latest, courtesy of CSM: White Americans are still the majority in the United States, but theyre rapidly being overtaken by Hispanics, according to the latest Census Bureau report, and this could have important political ramifications. During the past decade, the Hispanic population in the United States grew 43 times faster than the non-Hispanic white population, the Census Bureau reported Thursday. Put another way, between 2000 and 2010 the...
