On June 13th, the U.S. Department of State online Visa Bulletin announced availability of a large number of immigration visa, which opens door for legal employment-based immigration applicants to submit their paperwork starting July 1st. On July 2nd, merely 2 weeks later, the Visa Bulletin published by the U.S. Department of State announced that �there will be no further authorizations in response to requests for Employment-based preference immigration application cases�. This drastic change is condemned by American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) as �Bait-and-Switch� policy which �slams the door� in the face of immigration applicants who are following the laws. New York Times called it �immigration malpractice�. This has been a waste of the government�s time and money.
As an American Citizen and a tax-payer, I have worked and lived alongside with many legal immigrants and prospective legal immigrants. They actively contribute to the economy, education, technology, culture, and research in the U.S.
They also respect and obey the laws, even though there are stringent scrutiny and limitation imposed. For example, they wait for years to complete the legal process, during that time, they cannot travel abroad without the serious risk of being denied re-entry. Having committed no crime, they have to notify the government every time they change their place of residence � something that, among American citizens, only convicted felons are required to do. They have spent hundreds, sometimes thousands, of dollars on government-mandated application fees and related costs. They have underwent inordinate amounts of stress making sure their applications were complete and properly filled out in every way, knowing that any error or omission, real or perceived, could get their application automatically rejected. Through it all, they had faith in the system of legal immigration. Now they are being penalized for following the law and for having faith in the system, because the federal government has dealt with them unjustly and deceptively. Such a way of dealing with prospective legal immigrants is sure to deter other highly skilled, intelligent people from wanting to live and work in the US, to the detriment of our country.
I request that you investigate and work to improve the procedures for legal employment-based immigration. Specifically, I strongly urge you to support the highly skilled people who are seeking legal employment-based immigration because they are actively contributing and improving the (YOUR STATE) Community and the greater American Society.

If this is indeed true then we must high light this and make it our next issue. This is a poster child of USCIS's careless work and sloppyness.

I have some black dots in my Control Panel? What is the meaning of a black dot?
And how does one give black dot to some one? When I try to add reputation to a post, I can only see I approve or I disapprove options. I would imagine I approve=green and I disapprove=red. Where does a black dot fit into this scheme?
The gray dots come when you get either approval/disapproval from somebody who has:

Their problems doesn't make me smile here. I want solutions to my problems.
I couldn't agree more, how come any immigration rules in britan should have any thing do with USCIS ? any time we have a problem with USCIS or in general US policy there are few people who want to jump in and comapre the rules and other stuff with rest of the world. This is not how an issue should looked at people came here because they thought this country encourages immigrants what I want see is let this country talk the talk and walk the walkif they don't want to give green cards or fix H1b porblems just say we no longer need any immigrants we have gained every thing we want from the immigrants and we are ok now when we need talent and work force we will call everybody , I am sick of this I could go on but .....

absolutely, i need to see microsoft projects to keep track of the lobbying project. why can't the current folks show progress as per the microsoft projects plan. after the end of time and budget, we need to see the result in the form of our GC. that's how we do all our projects at work. why is this lobbying thing any different.
if i can summarize bawa's point, we need to cut all ties with democrats, trash obama repeatedly unless we are sure that we have aligned with sarah palin and we are sure that we have been sidelined for next 8 years. wonderful strategy to ensure 100% failure, i luv it, the change we can believe in.

Any word this ?
As i posted earlier i've scheduled a teleconference today morning with my HR Head and wanted complete explanation why they aren't releasing 7001. The general HR staff didn't release 7001 for last 8 days.
The HR Head is more diplomatic guy - he said i'll sign and give you 7001 immediately but if any problem happens because of challenging USCIS via Ombudsman , he doesn't know. Basically he is resorting to "Scare Tactics" or the "Fear Mongering" that we saw in the Billary's 3 AM ad of political campaign.
How what do i do Lonedesi - Shall i go ahead and ask him for 7001 and tell him that i don't care because this is a absolutely legal and right step to question USCIS if they are not following FIFO ??

I checked 2007 return and it has only 100K asset. I am not sure we accumulated 350K since then. I think you got confused with revenue vs. cash on hand / asset.

keep up the great work.
A suggestion, lets keep a tally where we are for contribution goal,
this will encourage everyone to contribute more and round off any shortfalls
in overall contribution.

I had started a healthcare thread previously and it got poor response. Eventually we created an iv-physicians chapter to track our issues and work with the core team on the overall goals of ending retrogression.
There are a number of efforts on to help Schedule A applicants, some of these are parts of more comprehensive efforts like Cornyn's recent amendment.
I suggest you organize the Schedule A folks into a group. IV is very happy to work with any group that takes responsibility for their own needs.

If you do form a group, try to expand it by bringing members in from outside iv as well- this would also expand iv's membership base.
I will be happy to help you with anything you need based on our experience with iv-physicians so far.

Does anyone has recently got I-485 approval after porting priority date from earliar EB3 filing.
My I-140 got approved 2 weeks back and based on priority date, I am current. Ny EB3 485 was filed in July 2007.
How long it is taking for I485 to get approved after I-140 approval when the priority date is current.
